Award Description:

The award will be given to an organization that demonstrates proven exemplary success in relation to environment and sustainability. The award aims to recognize the commitment and dedication towards organisations that have made remarkable progress in reducing their carbon footprints and supporting the overall transition to a low-carbon future, as well as organisations that have developed groundbreaking technologies or solutions to address environmental and social challenges.

Project submission must meet at minimum one of the criteria below:

  • The project goes above and beyond standard HSE programs resulting in significant, long-lasting impact within your organization’s culture.
  • Demonstrates quality innovation, investment, and implementation of an HSE policy, training, compliance, initiative, program etc.
  • Demonstrates measurable and sustainable change as a result of the project; include baselines, metrics, and key performance indicators.
  • The project/program serves as a strong model and inspiration for other companies.

Award scoring criteria:

Nominees must be able to showcase and evidence the below criteria in the submission form​​

Measurable Impact – 50% of total score​​

Describe the health and safety impact your project has had, such as reduction in safety related incidents, achieving zero fatalities, improvement to people and wellbeing, improvement in psychological safety and overall reporting, improvement in productivity etc. Improvements must be quantified and numbers, graphs and evidence must be included to substantiate the information. Provide a description of a before and after, outlining changes in processes, procedures, etc that indicate the improvement process. Please note that financial improvements are secondary, however you are able to include them.

Quality of delivery – 20% of total score​​

Describe project deliverable and timeline, challenges and how they were overcome, lessons learned and insights gained.

Innovation – 20% of total score

Scoring will be subject to originality, innovation, application of technology, improved way of working, reduction in complexity, shift in behavior or mindset, replicability. Innovation does not necessarily imply something completely new, but can be a better way of working, or enhancing previous processes.

Replication– 10% of total score​​

How easy is it to replicate your project and its applicability across other locations, or within the industry. Does it have the potential to become industry best practice?
