Eid Al Adh’ha, the festival of the sacrifice, is a very busy time for all of us; full of travel and entertainment, eating and meeting relatives and friends. A time for celebrations. Sadly, Eid has also been a time where people have failed to arrive at their destination because of death and injury suffered in motor vehicle crashes whilst on their journey. It is unfortunate but Oman’s prevailing culture remains one where driving and using the mobile phone is seen as socially acceptable. You and your family are at risk from other drivers who are not paying attention and you are at risk from yourself too if you make that choice to drive whilst on the mobile phone.
