PDO achieved ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) certification in 1999 to become one of the few oil and gas companies to be certified at that time. Maintaining the certificate entails undergoing independent assessment of the EMS on an annual basis. This year’s assessment will happen by the end of this month and the beginning of April. In this article, we aim to provide an overview on the ISO 14001 system and highlight its key benefits to PDO.
