Toolbox Risk Identification Card (TRIC)
TRIC is a simple card-based system for identifying risks in the workplace during a pre-job toolbox talk. It is intended to be used by supervisors on-site to encourage the active involvement of workforce to identify and discuss hazards and risks associated with the planned job. TRIC is a vital part of the Toolbox Talk process as it used to record attendees and document additional hazards and controls identified during the task that were not captured in the Permit to Work (PTW) or Job HSE Plan. It ensures dynamic risk assessment and accountability, with the supervisors responsible for its accurate completion, to reinforce the commitment to proactive and adaptive risk assessment
