2001/01/01: First rollover of 2001
On the first of January, while returning from Fahud, a pick-up with four passengers rolled over 6.5kms north of Ghaba North round-about. Two of the occupants sustained injury one suffered fracture to both legs while the other was only slightly bruised. They were referred to Nizwa Hospital. The remaining two passengers were unhurt.
The initial information is still unconfirmed but aspects of the incident seem to involve:-
  1. Speed.
  2. A supervisor driving without an Omani or PDO driving licence.
  3. Three occupants afraid to stop him driving.
