It is a highly contagious viral disease that affects cloven animals: cattle, pigs, sheep and goats, and some wild animals such as deer or rats. In these animals it causes fluid-filled blisters around the animal¿s mouth, nose, teats and feet. The disease rarely causes the death of the animal but makes it much weaker.
