Plastic drums originating from PDO and its contractor's scrap sites have been seen in the back of private vehicles in the interior. The drums had previously contained chemicals some of which were extremely toxic. This situation could be hazardous to a number of people should the drums be used for the transport or storage of drinking water. PDO does not permit the re-use of non-returnable drums. The drums should either be returned to the vendor or made unusable before disposal.
