Following the incident at Rig-37 in Nimr where a mobile crane was lifting a drill pipe basket and suddenly the crane slewing ring bolts sheared off resulting in structural distortion of the crane. Luckily no one was hurt but the crane is damaged. Therefore this note is to give guidance to Contract Holders and HSE advisors who are involved in any kind of lifting operation.
