PDO Knowledge World is an engaging journey, providing scientific learning opportunities for students and professionals, as well as general visitors & tourists. Knowledge World comprises of: The Oil & Gas Exhibition Centre, The Planetarium & EcOman Centre.
يأخذك عالم المعرفة في شركة تنمية نفط عمان في رحلة تفاعلية تتيح للمشاركين من الطلبة والمختصين وعامة الزوار والسياح فرصاً لاكتساب المعرفة المستندة على المبادئ العلمية. ويتكون عالم المعرفة من ثلاثة مرافق هي معرض النفط والغاز والقبة الفلكية ومركز الإيكولوجيا.

PDO has a long tradition of marking the milestone of Oman’s National Day (November 18) by making a Gift to the Nation every five years to support the Sultanate’s development. Three of the Gifts to the Nation are located on one site called the PDO Knowledge World in Muscat near to the Company’s headquarters. They are:-

  • The Oil and Gas Exhibition Centre (built in 1979 and upgraded in 1995)
  • The Planetarium (built in 2000 and upgraded in 2012)
  • The EcoOman Centre (2010)

The attractions offer an engaging and interactive learning journey and are able to cater for a wide range of visitors including families with children, students, tourists and industry professionals. The centre explores many of the key topics in today’s modern world including the evolution and future of energy, the environment, the sustainable development of Oman’s natural resources and the science of astronomy.

دأبت شركة تنمية نفط عُمان على الاحتفاء بالعيد الوطني المجيد للسلطنة (18 نوفمبر) بتقديم هدية للمواطنين كل خمس سنوات، وذلك رفداً للجهود التنموية في السلطنة، حتى أصبح ذلك تقليداً تمارسه الشركة وتحرص عليه على الدوام.

تقع ثلاث من هذه الهدايا التي قدمتها الشركة للمواطنين في مكان واحد أطلق عليه اسم "عالم المعرفة"، بالقرب من المقر الرئيسي للشركة في محافظة مسقط. وهذه الهدايا هي:

  • معرض النفط والغاز (أنشئ عام 1979  وحُدّث في عام 1995)
  • القبة الفلكية (أنشئت عام 2000 وحُدثت في عام 2012)
  • مركز الإيكولوجيا (2010)

تُقدم هذه المعالم الثلاثة رحلة تعلّم تفاعلية وممتعة ومثرية لمختلف شرائح الزوار سواء الأسر مع أطفالها أو الطلبة أو السياح وحتى المختصين بالصناعة. وتسلط هذه المعالم الضوء على العديد من المواضيع المهمة في عالم اليوم مثل تطور الطاقة ومستقبلها والبيئة والتنمية المستدامة للموارد الطبيعية في سلطنة عُمان، بالإضافة إلى بدائع علم الفلك.

وتفخر الشركة بدورها في المساهمة في دفع عجلة التنمية في السلطنة، وتعزيز العملية التعليمية والوعي العلمي في مجالات حيوية تلامس حياتنا جميعًا. تفضل بزيارة عالم المعرفة التابع للشركة لتكتشف بنفسك ما سبقك إلى اكتشافه أكثر من مليون شخص.
