Safety Bulletin: LFI Domestic Gas Regulator Safety
On 10th November 2016, a faulty domestic gas regulator was connected to a new gas cylinder in one of RAH houses. The regulator failed to control gas flow resulting in high pressure gas supplied to the oven causing a small explosion. Luckily no injuries.
Always ensure domestic gas regulator are inspected regularly by approved competent person. •Always replace worn-out or defective tubing and regulators with genuine parts. •Check for gas leaks regularly by applying soap solution on cylinder joints and other fittings.
