Overextending Arm - Dislocated Shoulder
Relief derrickman separated his shoulder attempting to latch the elevators after throwing a stand of Drill pipe in.
Make sure that all Derrickman and relief Derrickman are fit for duty. Have the driller slow the blocks down for the relief Derrickman so the stand can be thrown in the elevators and then the elevators can be latched without having to hurry or overextend the arms of the man doing the job. There is also less chance of the stand falling to the backside of the derrick.
Over extended his arms reaching for the elevator horns
