2001/01/29: Twisted ankle
A staff member twisted his foot when coming out of a rig office and stepping down from 30 cm height. Pain and swelling developed shortly after. An X-ray identified a broken foot-bone. A cast was applied at Khoula hospital. He will need 2-3 weeks rest.
The rig on which this incident happened achieved 10 yrs LTI free performance and was about to hit 11 yrs. This is by all standards a major achievement. It is very sad that such a great run is ended by this incident.
