Tyres
In May one of the seismic shift bus drivers heard a flapping noise from his tyres, he stopped and found that side wall of the rear inner tyre had come away from the tyre. The coastal offices contacted the manufacturer of the vehicle as well as the tyre manufacturer. The vehicle distributor was under the impression that the tyre was suitable for both blacktop and graded road driving but the manufacturer confirmed that it was designed only for black top use.

The tyre fitted on the vehicle was a Bridgestone radial, 7.00 R16LT, 12 P.R. 117/16M. The correct tyre should be the 7.00 R16-12 P.R. - M755-116L.

Before purchasing tyres for any vehicle check with the tyre manufacturer that it is suitable for the road conditions it will be used on.
