The new defensive driving courses as part of the Road Safety Must Win strategy are to be introduced on the 3^rd April 2009, incorporating new course materials and separating the testing and training.

All defensive driving training courses will after the 3^rd April only be provided by either HiTech/MERS for the recertifications or TATI for all other courses.

All contractors who currently have authorisation to conduct in-house Defensive Driving training and HSE training will have their authorisations removed  from the 4^th April and must contact both Christopher Evans MSE15 and Ian Bowen HLD8 to re-apply for authorisations from PDO before this date.
