A lab-technician from MCBS working for TKM was completing a High Pressure/High Temperature test on a mud sample. He opened the sample container without having first bled off the 7 bar pressure from under the sample. The cap released with force and blew up into his face resulting in 2 deep cuts and a fracture of the skull near the eye. He was transferred to Khoula Hospital and will be off work for at least 1 week.
