A cook was cutting chicken with a large knife. He cut off two third of his index finger. The wound was treated by a surgeon at Nizwa hospital. He will be off work for a period of 3 weeks. There are as yet no details on why this accident happened (tired, loss of concentration, distracted, lack of training, poor equipment, poor working conditions???). An investigation is in progress.
