A briefing pack "Rollovers Again?" has been prepared to highlight the very worrying fact that PDO and Contractors suffered 10 Roll-overs in just 1 month (21/Oct-24/Nov/2001)!
These rollovers resulted in 1 Fatality, 1 possible Permanent Total Disability and 3 LTI's. In addition they caused major material damage and recovery costs.
The presentation pack is structured for discussion in HSE and tool-box type meetings. It highlights how rollovers happen and the simple actions a driver can take to avoid them. It contains important information that all drivers, especially those driving a 4WD, should understand with respect to rollovers. This package does not address the underlying causes of a rollover.
The briefing pack should be discussed in toolbox/HSE meetings by all PDO and Contractor personnel that drive in Oman. It is strongly suggested to also review the package with family members that drive.
