Estedama

ESTEDAMA is Petroleum Development Oman’s competition for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) which has been organised in conjunction with the Public Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Riyada).







Objective

PDO aspires – through this competition - to promote entrepreneurial innovation to come up with viable and innovative solutions in the country to promote energy management culture amongst SMEs in the Sultanate of Oman and encourage them to innovate in the following categories:

  • Energy Efficiency
  • Energy Conservation
  • Renewable Energy

Eligibility

  • SMEs registered at Riyada
Submission Details

The applicant should fill in table 1 below for each proposal and state the category of submission clearly:

Energy Efficiency, Energy Conservation or Renewable Energy.

Note:(The applicant can submit a maximum of three proposals; one under each category).

  • Applicants shall submit their proposal(s) no later than 2/11/2017.
  • The Committee*will consider submissions that are only related to the three categories mentioned above.
  • The Committee ranking will evaluate submissions based on the ranking criteria**.
  • The Committee will shortlist the best six (6) proposals and ask applicants to prepare presentations to further explain their concept.

Proposals will be ranked based on the ranking criteria and the top three(3) will then be selected for final evaluation and invited to attend the winning ceremony.

  • The Committee reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal based on the rankingcriteria.
  • The Committee reserves the right to publish these proposals in its media channels to promote the companies and showcase best practices/innovation to the public without obtaining prior approval.

*A committee formed by Riyada and PDO.

** "Representatives" means directors, officers or PDO Employees.​

Competition awards:

The three finalist will be provided with a cash incentive of RO 5,000 (first place), RO 3,000 (second place), RO 2,000 (third place)

  • The three finalists will be provided with PDO certificates attesting to the validity of the proposed projects
  • The top 6 proposals will be promoted by PDO

Disclaimer:

  • PDO shall not be held liable towards the ideas submitted by the competitors.SMEs indemnify and hold PDO its directors and employees harmless from any claim raisedby any third party in relation to the submitted ideas.
  • PDO is not responsible to register any of the submitted proposals for intellectual property registration at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry or any other required legal documentation at various authorities.
