The Public Majlis of Marsooded in Welayat Maqshan was officially inaugurated recently at an event attended by PDO Director for External Affairs & Value Creation, Engineer Abdul Amir bin Abdul Husain Al Ajmi in the presence of Wali of Maqshan H.E Sheikh Abdullah Al Humr, and other government officials, Sheikhs and residents.
The building was funded by PDO in an effort to provide a safe and suitable community gathering space for the people of Marsooded. It consists of a large public hall to be used for social celebrations and gatherings and storage and kitchen facilities.
This visit was also an opportunity to sign two major agreements with H.E Sheikh Abdullah Al Humr for the construction of an R/O plant and a livestock market for the communities of Maqshan. The R/O plant will support the existing shortage of water supply for the surrounding villages while the livestock market will act as an economic hub supporting food supply chain infrastructure.
PDO has been actively supporting local communities for decades and is currently developing a number of infrastructure projects in partnership with the Ministries of Education, Health and Agriculture and Fisheries to provide communities with better access to important services and amenities.
